Thai yoga massage is a truly wonderful way to relax and unwind. Take up to 90 minutes for yourself, lay down, close your eyes and and experience gentle movement, stretches and fascial release.
This style of yoga really is great to help you chill out, but still receive the benefits of stretching. Alex will do all the work, moving your body in a way that's right for you, helping you relax and release tension throughout the body. Book either a 45, 60 or 90 minute time slot, and meet Alex at her Norwich based home for your session. Details will be sent to you once you've booked you space. You don't need any prior yoga experience to have a Thai Yoga Massage, nor do you need any level of flexibility. Everything is adapted to work with your body and how you feel on the day. Appointments available on Monday from The Yard Coffee, Norwich. Alex will meet you in the cafe and then take you up to the treatment room for your treatment. |
What you need to know about your appointment:
1. There's no table in TYM, you'll be chilling on a futon on the floor, so if you know you have trouble getting on and off the floor please let Alex know ahead of time.
2. You wear clothes. Unlike a traditional massage, you stay dressed for a TYM. In fact, it's recommended you wear long sleeves and leggings or loose trousers, and socks. As long as you can move in what you wear, you'll still feel all the benefits.
3. You don't have to have your eyes open or speak throughout. Really your job is just to lay there and relax. Alex does all the hard work.
4. You don't need any yoga experience, or massage experience for that matter.
5. There is no deep muscle manipulation, and it's unlikely to hurt at all, you may feel a deep stretch but Alex will always work with your bodies ability and not push it beyond.
6. You'll be asked ahead of time if you have any injuries or pre existing health conditions that Alex will need to know about.
7. Alex may use oils for your face massage, if this is part of your treatment, please let her know ahead of time if you'd rather she didn't use oils.
8. TYM isn't recommended for anyone that's pregnant or for 8 weeks (once they've had the all clear from the doctor) postpartum.
9. Please come clean and showered with clean clothes on.
10. You can come for a TYM post workout, but it's not recommended to go and workout on the same day after a massage. You may come away very sleepy and relaxed, so it could be worth giving yourself a little time to walk or get a coffee after the treatment.
