Friday night Yin Yoga
Friday 9th September @ 7:30-9:00pm
Let's get together for a deliciously relaxing Friday evening Yin Yoga class in early Autumn.
Join me at the Happy Om studio, Norwich for a 90 minute Yin Yoga class. Yin is an incredibly relaxing yoga practice and offers a wonderful way to wind down from your week and take time to nourish your body and mind. Most of our yoga practices, exercise classes and life in general is all Yang, fast paced, work based and demanding on our sense, Yin is the opposite. We take the time to go 'inward', we notice what's going on with us, both physically and mentally.
There really is nothing like it. The poses we venture into, are supported by props, such as blocks and blankets, so we can hold the poses for an extended period of time. This enables you to stretch your muscles, facia and connective tissues in a different way to your usual yoga classes, and leaves you feeling incredibly open and relaxed.
The Focus:
During this class we will be focusing on the beauty of focus and truth and how we could strive to allow more of these 2 things into our lives, not just in a yoga class.
Available space:
There are still social distancing measures in place at most yoga studios and we will keep this in mind at the Happy Om too. There are 14 spaces available in this class and I encourage you to bring your own mat and props for the ultimate relaxation.
What you need to bring:
What to wear:
The extra details:
The Class will start at 7:30pm on Friday 9th September, but you're welcome to arrive from 7:15pm to get set up and comfy on your mat. I recommend arriving at LEAST 5 minutes before the class starts so we can start promptly at 7:30pm, the time flies and we want to make the most of every minute.
There is on street parking on Heigham Street, where you can park for free after 6pm, do give yourself time to find a space to park.
The studio is on the 2nd floor of Capitol House.
Studio 1, 2nd floor Capitol House, 4-6 Heigham Street, Norwich NR2 4TE
Class etiquette:
This is a class where we want to focus on ourselves. I will be moving around the class and adjusting or assisting yogis with props as and when they might need. You always have the option for no physical adjustments and you just let me know if you'd rather I didn't touch you at any point before or during the class (you may change your mind). However if I need to speak to a yogi it will be in whispers so not to interrupt other yogis from their own practice, and I ask that should you have a question you give me a wave and we shall discuss what ever it is in whispers for the same reason.
You can of course leave the studio for the toilet or anything you may need at any point, I just ask you leave quietly and respectfully.
Yin can invoke a lot of emotion, so if you're feeling a little teary or upset by the end of class, don't be surprised, look to be kind to yourself first and foremost. If this means you just need to leave without a word, please do so with no pressure from anyone in the room. Respect the calm and quiet energy as you leave and allow it go home with you.
How to book:
Click the button at the bottom of the page and sign up. Once you're through the checkout, your space has been confirmed. You will receive an email a few days before the workshop (keep an eye on your junk mail if you don't usually receive emails from me) with a reminder, and everything you need to know ahead of the class. This is also a great opportunity to let me know if you have any injuries or health conditions that I need to know about before we meet on the Friday, however I will ask you again on the day.
Don't hesitate to get in touch if you have any questions about the workshop. Otherwise book on and I very much look forward to seeing you there.
